National Scout Jamboree -
July 26 – August 4

In 2010, the Boy Scouts of America will celebrate 100 years of Scouting in the United States of America. As part of that celebration, the National Scout Jamboree will be held from 26 July to 4 August 2010 at Fort A.P. Hill on the rolling hills of Virginia, near many Civil War landmarks.
To be eligible to attend the 2010 Jamboree, a Scout must be at least 12 years old or have completed the 6th grade by 1 July 2010 and be a First Class Scout or above. The Scout cannot turn 18 before 3 August 2010 and must be active in the Troop for at least 6 months before July, 2010.
To register, you can go to www.MyScouting.org. The Scout or his parent will need to create a log-in user ID and password. You will need your BSA member ID number to create a user account. This is on your BSA membership card or you can check with SHAC to get your number if you do not have your card. There is a $10 processing fee and applicants will be instructed to print their confirmation, have it signed by their Scoutmaster and then take the form to SHAC with a $100 deposit.
If you have any questions, please contact Zig Werlla or Dick Yale.
