Interested adults can go to the BSA website, fill out the registration page, and take any or all of the online courses for adults at any time. The ID number can be supplied at any time - before OR after the online training is completed.
Major Change in BSA Youth Protection Training Requirements Effective June 1, 2010:
· Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers, regardless of their position. This includes, and is not limited, to merit badge counselors.
· Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.
· New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before submitting an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time the application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins.
Adult Volunteers who have not completed Youth Protection Training within the past 2 years, and wish to retain the privilege of working with our Scouts in any capacity, need to go to the Golden Arrow District Website click on the “Youth Protection Online” button located towards the bottom of the page and complete the course.
