The rules and guidelines for Troop 55 are presented and explained in the Troop Handbook.  This book had a wealth of information about how the Troop functions and the overall aims and methods of the Scouting Program.  The book includes sections on the following:

• Campouts - rules and gear
• Rank advancement and the merit badge program
• How the Troop is organized (patrols, etc.)
• Adult leadership roles and training
• Summer camps
